The Obverse
The front of the coin features the Half Dollar design created by artist Adolph A. Weinman for the coin which was minted from 1916 until 1947. Lady liberty is shown walking towards the left with her arm extended and holding an olive branch.
The Reverse
Shown on the back of the coin is a heraldic eagle design similar to the Great Seal of the United States of America. A proud bald American Eagle, with a seal at it's breast and a bundle of arrows and an olive branch clutched in its talons.
