This 1969 work was the second of two volumes by this author on Virginia Obsolete Paper Money. Volume I includes Virginia Treasury Notes, County, City and Town emissions, and Private and Business Scrip. Volume II includes the Obsolete Bank Notes (or so-called "Broken Bank Notes.") of Virginia from the early 1800s through the years of the Confederacy. All known major varieties of Virginia obsolete bank notes are illustrated in actual size, followed by a listing of denominations, a brief description and the name of the printer or engraver when possible. Condition Note: This book was published by the Virginia Numismatic Association (VNA) in 1969. Wizard acquired the unsold copies from the VNA in 2015. So, while these books are "new" they show some signs of long storage and periodic handling as the volunteer VNA caretaker changed over the years. Nothing bad, just an occasional scuff here and there and some light yellowing of the paper over the years. Binding: Hardcover Edition: 1st Publication Date: 1969 Size: 8.5x11 Pages: 265
